HMRC's Making Tax Digital for Business is the government’s policy to move all business-related tax reporting online.
HMRC have started this transition with Making Tax Digital for VAT, making it mandatory for UK businesses to replace their current method of return submission with the HMRC MTD e return filing process.
From April 2019, most businesses will be required to make, preserve, and then submit existing VAT records electronically.
To bridge the gap between any spreadsheet based VAT return and HMRC, PwC has developed an Excel based tool, to submit VAT returns.
Our VAT e filing software is available to any organisation caught by the rules, and to agents who file VAT returns for their client base.
For more information please visit our e-file site.
Access the beta version of our VAT e-file service
The beta version of the PwC VAT e-file spreadsheet service is available for registered users to download.
This beta version is identical to the live version but can only be used to submit dummy returns to HMRC’s development sandbox environment. The numbers you submit will not be held by HMRC and it is not possible to submit a live return via this version of the software.
If you have migrated over to MTD by HMRC and are in a position to file live returns, please contact us for the live version of this software.
All queries can be directed to vatefilesupport@pwc.com
Please read these instructions on using the beta version of the software before downloading the service via the link here.
